Crosstalk on a lil Walk...

The Urban Dictionary says that "Friendationship is - the state of a relationship where in two people are clearly more than friends" but won't admit or don't know if they are a 'couple' or not.

I was happily doing my internship at a well known reputed firm and I just went out for a walk in the evening just to get handsoff my work and crossed the street towards bay or rather a seashore located just opposite to my office. Chilling on bench with sweet song played on my cell, suddenly "Hey! Howz you ? What are you doing here ?" - voice of an old rusted friend.

"Life is full of surprises but ensure those surprises are meant to surprise you and not to shock you!"

You must be wondering, why did i mentioned shock ? Yes, let me take you on a walk !

Several Years ago, yet another day, it was a pleasant morning ! Indeed a big day for me as I stepped into a business world where we'd been trained as a manager, teach as a leader. I was sitting in a canteen - so called cafeteria, I met a girl who was sweet and simple, sitting next to the door of the cafeteria. I asked her, "If you don't mind, may I seat here?" Yes, she replied.

I had my coffee and she was almost done with her breakfast "Poha - an Indian rice which is flattened into flat, light, dry flakes, basically used for breakfast along with a half cutting chai : Tea". I took an initiative of asking her, you are from ? Gujarat ! - she responded with a question "and you ?" I am localite, Mumbai ! Which class do you got assigned ? Class A - replied in hurry as break was about to get over. Ohh Great !! Even I am also from Class A.... Replied in an excite manner. Both went together to class and class got started.

Initially, it was just a normal talk which later turned into a good friendship.

As being a localite, I tooked some of my friends out to see the glimpse of Mumbai ! Yes, including her. Time knew, sugar started to melt!

Soon, we became friends and then good friends.

Later, she introduced me to her roommates and invited me for a house party. Yes, a night out ! Indeed, an awesome night !

We played games like Mafia, Truth and Dare. Dance and slow music gave a sweet touch to end the show. All slept except we. We were discussing about each other. She asked me about my background, lifestyle and so do I. It was 4 am in the morning when our discussion inclined towards each other. We went so deep in discussion that we ended together so close that we started rolling about our past life. She was strong enough to hold her emotions but she cried! It was hard to calm her down as we just met and yes, was our first night out with each other. But, anyhow I managed to hold her, gave her hug and told her, its ok, it was just the past. Not to worry. You're here to make your present. I crack some lil stupid jokes but atleast tried to get a sweet line on her face (smile) and yes, I succeed.

And then, We used to hang alot, seat together in class, have lunch together, and so kind of things that keeps us busy into eachother. We were so into that we went digital!

Ha-ha! Yes, we kept connected through whatsapp messages, voice call and slowly but gradually to video calls. Yes, normal call was started a bit ago right before she introduced me to her friends. Then, we started hanging out alot and I used to travel alot with her, it was just she and I.

Touch wood, things were so good among us that we started going college together. She used to call me where are you? I am ready !

Yes, air wasn't dry this time ! There's something in the air which we both could feel. Like but not love and we both knew each other. But, didn't wanted to understand!

We went on our first trip with few friends to seek a view of hills during rainy's and to have a bowl of maggie at lions point, yes, you're right, its the most going places in mumbai, LONAVALA. It was a 2 Day and night trip and when you're with friends who sleeps! We went to lion's point, bhushi dam and suddenly, a pop shows up on everyone electronic device called Mobile Phone stating that we got our sections. It was a scary silence initially, as we all got apart into divisions but still we didn't care. And we went on partying all night, late night drives, drinks, hukkahs, music, dance was never to be end. Wait, it's not yet morning, we also celebrated my friend's birthday and indeed, a first one for all of us.

Later, that night, We five of us went on a drive. We stopped near small river side bridge and went on talking on our past suddenly. As we didn't saw the time, an ocher colored uniform made us remind to go to our place as its been a dark night. The very next day, we left for home.

Divisions now started hitting our brains but this was all behind our tired, lowered energy, drained mood after a short but a memorable journey.

It was just a start of a new loveship which we both were boarding, were we riding a boat on a beautiful blue ocean.

Luck started opposing each others faith. We used tally our timetable just to schedule our lil meets. Yet, we anyhow meet after the class but one of them has to wait for 45-1 hr to finish the other's class.

Post classes, I used to go to her place, we used to have snacks together and sometimes dinner. These small small stay got hold me for a while. Initially, it was a day, later turned to weekends and then weeks too.

Everything was going good and eventually, it was the time that our friendship was about to take a turn towards friendationship (Friends + Dating - a step towards relationship). So, many singles are afraid to take step into relationship. Here, the bonding started becoming cold. The fleshy water started freezing. Things between us weren't simple this time and not ready. Some wiered sought of feelings or vibes hitting us.

Once, On a very cold late night, they both went on a walk, the night was dark and full of silent questions and an akward horror, they kissed and the girl took a stand, "when I first found out about you, I had no idea you would be so important to me ! I know we like each other and somewhere we love to hangout around, show care to each other but we should now scratch our brains and hold our breathe here. I love you more than yesterday but less than tomorrow"

Cold air morn the boy and tye girl keep her tone continued, " I never wanna see you in my future as a stranger. We've built so much together. I never wanna walk by me as if we never met. It will literally kill me inside. I'm so scared of losing you. Although we've made promises, I'm just scared those promises won't mean much in the future. I don't know where we're heading. I' m just worried, we started off as strangers, and I'm really hoping we don't end as strangers!"

Now to those wet feelings of a girl in the cold dark night, silence played its part.

Time faded their bonding, their togetherness, and a lil present.

Both completed their 1 year somehow leaving these memories untouched. Beginning was tough but managed the non managed part.

(We should engage in a relationship with all love, care and respect for each other. There is no middle way. Either you're friends or dating, sounds cool but won't work for much long time. It will make you to enjoy the moment but what about the memories you were making, what about the habbit, the time which you used to spend with the person virtually or real ? What you will do if you're somewhere stuck between friendship and relationship ? You aren't going forward or backward. Stuck !
